Spending Money v2.8 02/17/2012
If you thought we were excited about the last release, this one has even more to get excited about.
For starters, looking back through the feedback we have gotten there is another request I have seen come up over and over and that is a Notes field. We had planned this for an earlier release but I had wanted to keep the interface small and tight. With the amount of request we have gotten, I think we found a way to add notes without it getting in anyone's way and I hope our users like it.
One of the questions I had with notes was whether users want the note "remembered" the next time a transaction is entered, or if the note should only be a one-time thing. To support both ways we added options to either clear the notes field when a new transaction is created or use whatever was there for the last transaction. As part of the same "On New Transaction" interface in Settings, we made an option for the description and amount, based on user requests. Now you can have the new transaction screen be basically blank whenever you create a new transaction, and you can always copy an existing transaction from the Transactions page if it is something you have done before.
The third major change in this release takes advantage of the new features Mango supports for Live Tiles. Now there are 3 types of tiles, the “base” tile, Wallet tiles, and Transactions tiles. All types of tiles can show the balance, as always, but can now also show your “next payday” if you have planned your next replenishment on the back of the tile.
The base tile is created the standard way, by holding down the icon in the application list and clicking “pin to start”. You can only have one base tile for each application. If you are choose to show your balance, it will show the balance of the last wallet you used in Spending Money and clicking it will take you to the main screen in the last wallet you accessed.
Wallet tiles are created through the pin icon on the Wallets page. This will create a special tile on your Start screen which will always take you to this wallet, regardless of what wallet you last used. If you use multiple wallets this is extremely useful. And if you choose to show balances it will always show the balance of that wallet.
The Transaction tile can also show the balance of a specific wallet but takes the next step of taking you directly to the Add Transaction screen inside Spending Money. It is the fastest way to add a transaction on the go. So if you are just entering another lunch like the one you had yesterday, you click the tile, click save, and you are done.
The last part of the change to the Tile support is behind the scenes simplification. It is a much easier and more direct code to update tiles so if you have had any problems in the past I hope you try it out again and let me know what you think.
As always, thanks for all the feedback and let me know your ideas so we can keep making Spending Money better and better.

Spending Money v2.7 02/11/2012
After a long delay, 2.7 is finally out. Spending Money is now built for Mango and includes much better user input options. For text fields, there is now auto-capitalization, text prediction, and spell check. For numeric entries, the long awaited number-keypad, with only large numbers and a decimal and no other characters to get in the way. These were two features we heard about most from users.
We also fixed a bug with converting dates that was causing some customers to see crashes. This bug caused about half the crashes that were reported through Microsoft.
We are excited to get this release out to users.

Large CSV files 05/02/2011
Tonight we fixed a problem in Spending Money with sending CSV files if you have a lot of data. The fix is already on the server so if you've gotten an error before, please try it again and let us know if you have any other problems.

You should see the new version in the market place in the next few days.

v2.5 - Live Tile Support! 04/16/2011
Version 2.5 has the most requested feature- Live Tile Support. It is only changing the tile text now but it will be fancier in future versions. It is "opt-in" so you have to turn on it in the settings screen.
The update also includes fixes for sending CSV files with international characters, thanks to some help from an Icelandic user.
Enjoy and keep the feedback coming.

v2.4 Feature Release- CSV export! 04/12/2011
The latest release includes (finally) the ability to export the data in CSV(comma-separated values) format, which can be easily imported into Excel or a other desktop application. This should allow users to make use of their data outside of the phone.
There is also an additional option on the settings screen, the amount entry defaults to the numeric keypad, and a reworked wallets screen to improve stability.
Please check out the Future Enhancements section of the FAQ to see and vote on which enhancements you'd like to see in the next version.

Display bug in 2.2 03/12/2011
In version 2.2 there is a display bug which shows negative values as 0. This is only a display issue and you data remains safe but can be misleading. I have submitted a fix which should be out by Monday.
Category Support 03/05/2011
A major new version of Spending Money is coming out! The new version includes category support through tags, a new settings screen, and tip/tax support.
You can actually start getting ready for the tag support now. For example, if you add #gift to a description for a transaction, you will have a "gift" category with the new version, and can see in the statistics how much you spent on gifts. You can have as many categories for each transaction as you want.
